My name is Sharwin Karande (pronounced Sher-vin Kar-un-day). I live and breathe digital multimedia, technology and storytelling. Whether it’s using computers to create visually striking content or learning the latest software design tools, my passions revolves around technology and conveying stories through digital media.
I am currently looking for employment in fields where I can use my skills to market interesting products and brands through digital communities and new media. You can view my LinkedIn profile and see what kind of experience I have.
Apart from my professional career, I also have a long history with digital video production, writing, and online community management. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Journalism, which I used to hone my skills in storytelling, communication, and producing.
In my free time, I enjoy creating custom Minecraft worlds, as well as playing the latest multiplayer games. Photography, stargazing, camping, blacksmithing, and consuming delicious foods are also amongst my favorite activities.
While attending The University of Oregon, I became heavily involved in League of Legends eSports, attempting to create my own ‘ESPN SportsCenter’ style show about professional gaming. While my show, The eSports Report, was short lived, I enjoyed many sleepless nights editing video and graphics.
After college, I worked for local startups. One revolved around educating Elementary-aged kids on Minecraft, such as setting up custom servers, installing mods, and basic mod creation.
At some point in the future, I want to create my own games, build my own company, and earn enough money to buy a nice slice of American wilderness. Up until then, I’m ready for anything!
